I see a train, Rushing though the rain. Drops hit the window, Soft pats with each blow. I see a face, peering through, A reflection in the blue, The blue window hue, And a town they only knew. Tears held back, With thoughts gone black, Was there no going back? I see eyes, a dying light, Glistening, as they gave up the fight. A town, still in sight, Sleepy and sad, without the light.
